Trauma Informed Practice Training (In person)

This training is part of the annual Cripplegate Food Fund Volunteer Training Programme organised by Voluntary Action Islington to strengthen the skills of volunteers – and the staff who support them – in food aid services.

Eligibility is limited to Cripplegate-funded food aid organisations. If you are not funded but would like to attend, please contact james.wooldridge@vai.org.uk

Join us for training to develop an awareness of the impact of trauma and how to support people who are experiencing this.

The training session will focus on three areas:

How trauma and loss impacts individuals

The complexity of developmental trauma

How to integrate a trauma-informed approach into your daily work to better support the people you help in the community
