Strengthening Communities Through Volunteering
Voluntary Action Islington started working on the Strengthening Communities Through Volunteering project for 12 weeks. The project has been funded by the London Community Response Fund/City Bridge Trust. The aim is to help local voluntary organisations support volunteers and local people better at a time when health & safety and safeguarding are essential and remote working is the new normal.
The project provides support and advice to Islington organisations on:
- Recruitment in the context of Covid-19
- Volunteer induction, support and supervision. Methods of remote management.
- Promoting volunteering opportunities online
- Safeguarding in the context of Covid-19
- Staying safe whilst volunteering
