Day 2 of Small Charity Week – Funding Resources to Help Your Organisation Thrive

23/06/2026

Day 2 of celebrating Small Charities Week, we recognise the incredible contribution that small charities and community organisations make to our communities every day. With funding becoming increasingly competitive and demand for services continuing to grow, securing financial support remains one of the biggest challenges facing the voluntary and community sector.

We are pleased to share our latest Funding Booklet and Funding Toolkit, bringing together funding opportunities and practical guidance to help organisations secure the resources they need.

To support charities in identifying new funding opportunities, we are sharing our May/June 2026 Funding Booklet, packed with newly released funding opportunities for charities, community groups, and local organisations.

Whether you are looking to launch a new project, expand an existing service, or secure additional resources for your organisation, there are a range of opportunities worth exploring.

To help you navigate the booklet, funding opportunities are organised into the following sections:

• General Activities
• Arts & Heritage
• Black and Minority Ethnic Communities
• Health & Wellbeing
• Youth, Children & Young People

We hope this resource helps organisations access the funding they need to continue delivering vital services and making a difference in their communities.

The Islington funding toolkit is a fully searchable database of local, regional, national, and international funding opportunities for VCS organisations.

You can search for funding via types of organisations, areas of work and who you require funding for.

• Register and use the –Islington funding toolkit

• Video demonstration from our last workshop, which shows how to use the Funding Toolkit effectively. – How to use the funding toolkit video

To keep the toolkit available for free, we will need to know if there has been any success in securing funding.

Please tell us using the  link   or alternatively email  to Tsigereda.tekletsadik@vai.org.uk

Your feedback will not only help us enhance the tool but also support other organisations in their fundraising efforts.
