Islington’s Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise Sector Conference

This year’s conference will take place on Tuesday 12th March 2024. It will be delivered in partnership with Islington Council and the London Metropolitan University.

At our last conference, VCFSE organisations discussed challenges & opportunities; and how we could work towards a stronger and sustainable VCFSE.

Some of our communities face more complicated challenges due to the legacy of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis, and they need us more than ever.

We will come together at the conference in March to:

• Discuss what our communities are facing and how the VCFSE, Islington Council, London Met are trying to meet the unprecedented demand for services, and how we can build on what we are doing.

• Reflect on what was discussed at our last conference and how we can build on the ideas to strengthen the capacity, capability and sustainability of the VCFSE.

• Discuss how can we work together more effectively to ensure that our communities get the help and support that they need during these very challenging times.

As part of this, we are refreshing the Compact – the partnership agreement between the sectors and we will be dedicating some time to discuss this.

• We will also explore ideas of how we can try and increase investment in the VCFSE to meet the needs of the most marginalised and underserved communities in the borough.
