Employment Skills, Getting Work-Ready (In-person)

This training is part of the annual Cripplegate Food Fund Volunteer Training Programme organised by Voluntary Action Islington to strengthen the skills of volunteers – and the staff who support them – in food aid services.

Eligibility is limited to Cripplegate-funded food aid organisations. If you are not funded but would like to attend, please contact james.wooldridge@vai.org.uk

This course is designed to help you develop the essential skills needed to thrive in today’s workplace. You’ll build confidence, improve communication, and gain practical tools to prepare for employment or transition into a new role.

What You’ll Learn

  • Job Search Strategies: How to find and apply for the right opportunities
  • CV & Cover Letter Writing: Create a professional, standout application
  • Application Forms: Complete them accurately and effectively
  • Interview Preparation: Tips and techniques to succeed in interviews

By the end of the course, you’ll feel more confident and equipped to take the next step in your career journey.
