Islington Energy Advice Team provides a range of services to keep your property warm and safe, ways to save energy. Debt advice and help with money, help with benefits and grants. More info here.
Energy Doctor in the Home (Energy Advice) makes visits to eligible homes in Islington to help you with using your heating controls and understanding your fuel bills. More info here.
The Seasonal Health Intervention Network (SHINE) is a fuel poverty referral network and free energy advice service for Londoners. SHINE London offers a dedicated helpline and affordable warmth interventions to ensure households get the help they need to reduce utility bills, tackle energy debt and ultimately stay well and warm. Thames Water – WaterSure This scheme helps low-income households, households with large families and those who have a water-dependent medical condition. If you qualify, they currently offer a 50% discount on your whole bill. This amount may change in the future. You will need to fill in the application and post or email it back to them. Islington Council Income Maximisation Team (iMAX) Help with checking you are getting the right benefits and correct money. Advise on how working can make you better off, childcare costs and benefit changes. Lines are open from 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Where necessary, we can arrange appointments at council offices or home visits to assist you with filling out forms. More info here.
