Islington Volunteer of the Year Awards & AGM 2025

We are delighted to invite you to join us for our Annual General Meeting and Volunteer of the Year Awards, taking place at London Metropolitan University’s Great Hall on Thursday 6th November at 5:30pm.

This special evening is dedicated to celebrating the incredible work of volunteers across Islington’s voluntary, community, and faith sectors. Together, we will look back on the past year’s achievements, honour the inspiring contributions of our nominees, and share our vision for the year ahead.

This in-person event will bring us together as a community and provide an opportunity to celebrate the outstanding contributions of volunteers. We warmly welcome friends, family, colleagues, and supporters to join us in honouring the dedication and impact of those who make a difference every day.

The Mayor of Islington Cllr Jason Jackson will be in attendance to present the awards, including a certificate and a prize. Prizes will be awarded across the following categories: Young Volunteer (19-25 y/o), Volunteer (26-60), Older Volunteer (61+), Volunteering Team, and Pat Haynes Memorial Trustee of the Year. These prizes are provided by DoubleTree by Hilton Angel Kings Cross, who again serve as the awards’ official sponsor.

• Registration and refreshments: 5:30-6:00pm
• Annual General Meeting: 6:00-6:20pm
• Volunteer of the Year Awards: 6:20-8:00pm

Last year’s event exceeded expectations with more than 125 nominees – you can check out the winners for yourself here. And yet this year promises to be bigger still, with the most nominees we’ve ever received!
