Oslo Red Cross members came to us and other organisations in London to learn more about our methods of recruiting and managing volunteers.

Oslo Red Cross assists groups in need in the city of Oslo. They focus their relief work within the fields of migration, caring for elderly and lonely, children/youth and emergency response. They also have an emergency shelter for migrants. Oslo Red Cross’ department recruits, trains and supports volunteers and is in charge of communication and advocacy.

They have approximately 4000 active volunteers as of now, and the past autumn 5000 persons have expressed an interest in volunteering for Oslo Red Cross.

“The refugee situation challenges us all to use new methods and bring forward new ideas, and we therefore hope to establish dialogue with other organizations with experience in volunteer work.”

We wish you well for the future!
