Information for the Voluntary and Community Sector on the Government Plan to Lift Lockdown

Introduction

On 22 February 2021 the Government published “COVID-19 Response – Spring 2021”. This sets out the steps or the “roadmap” out of the current lockdown for England. All the Government documents have been published here.

The National Youth Agency (NYA) guidance is invaluable, especially to the Youth sector.  Also, another valuable document is the easy read version of the Roadmap as it sets out the steps very clearly, ‘How we will slowly move out of lockdown’. It is available here.

The link to the documents and guidance is intended to support Voluntary, Community organisations and Social Enterprises in Islington to understand what will permissible under the Roadmap COVID 19 restrictions and the lifting of Lockdown.

Whilst a number of dates are included in the Roadmap it is important to be aware and manage expectations as these are dependent on the four tests below being met, with particular uncertainties over new variants of COVID 19. However, there may be deviation and delays from these dates if circumstances make this advisable. A week’s notice of changes is proposed by Government.
