- Let’s play with Canva AI: An introduction to Magic Studio for small charities

Canva’s Magic Studio is a set of apps to help you easily create, transform, and reformat your content using the power of AI. Tools and techniques include:
- Changing formats e.g. document to slide decks
- Turning text into realistic images
- Removing backgrounds from or sharpening images
- Generating new copy from simple text
- Creating music, video and much more from the words you write
In this taster session, we will play with AI tools that can help you in your everyday work. There will be short exercises to take part in and a chance to share your ideas with peers.
This course is not suitable for complete beginners.
Pre-course requirement:
You must have a Canva Pro account to take part in this training. Registered charities can apply for a Canva Pro account for free here: https://www.canva.com/canva-for-nonprofits
Other voluntary organisations including social enterprises with paid Pro accounts can also attend. Please attend using a laptop or other desktop device.
2. Digital Trustees: Strengthening Boards in a Digital Age

3. Cyber security basics: An introduction to cybersecurity for everyone

If you are a small London based community group, you might be wondering how to protect your organisation from cyber threats. Cyber security is not only important for big businesses, but also for small charities and non-profits that rely on technology to operate and communicate. The session introduce you to 5 simple steps that the National Cyber Security Centre recommends for improving your cyber resilience.
You will also learn about various resources that you can use and share with your staff, volunteers, and communities to raise awareness and promote best practice.
They will run this session every month, so don’t miss this opportunity to boost your cyber security knowledge and skills and we encourage you to share with other colleagues.
This session is an online live-format webinar. As with all of Superhighways’ online training, there will be some interactivity, which may include asking you to contribute to the chat, take part in polls or join a short breakout session for a conversation with other participants.
4. Getting started with Online Forms and Surveys

In this session we will look at some of the tools available and consider which might be the most appropriate tool for you.
They also look at how to build surveys in a way that will maximise response quality and rates. The best survey tool in the world is only ever as good as the questions it includes.
This session will cover
- How do you get the best out of online surveys?
• How can you encourage a good response rate?
• How can you ensure the quality of the answers?
• How can you make sure to remove biases from questions?
5. Listening Smarter: Practical User Research & AI for charities

When it comes to the individuals and communities you support, how do you know if you’re focusing on the right priorities?
This 90-minute session will show you how to use simple, practical user research methods to hear directly from the people who matter most, your service users.
