Islington Volunteer of the Year Awards 2020

Voluntary Action Islington exists to encourage and support individuals and community organisations to make a positive difference in the Borough.
Each year we organise awards to recognise the achievements of people volunteering in Islington.

We invite you to celebrate their hard work on Wednesday 16th December, from 6-7pm.
The awards, sponsored by DoubleTree by Hilton Angel Kings Cross will be announced by the Mayor of Islington, Cllr Janet Burgess at an online celebration.

In a year riven by Covid-19, it is even more important that we all celebrate the efforts our volunteers have made to help people.
An astonishing number of new volunteers have registered to help charities and community groups to deliver their services during the pandemic, often on the frontline.  These volunteers represent every part of our local community and have helped to forge stronger, more resilient neighbourhoods and saved many lives.

The full list of categories are:

  • • Young Volunteer of the Year: 16 – 25 year olds
    • Volunteer of the Year: 26 – 60 year olds
    • Older Volunteer of the Year: 60+ year olds
    • Pat Haynes Memorial Trustee of the Year
    • Volunteer Team of the Year

Book your place here to confirm your attendance by 11pm on Monday 14th December 2020.
