Trustees are needed in Islington organisations:

Female Fundraising Trustee role at Laamiga. Laamiga is a voluntary community organisation run by women for women who want to become financially independent and gain more meaningful employment. They provide tailored employment support for black and minority ethnic women from refugee and migrant communities in London. Our services include mentoring, training, business support, and career coaching. Laamiga is a small friendly charity that relies on the support of volunteers in a variety of roles. The Trustees are seeking a new member to join them on the charity’s board. Most importantly, we would like someone who is passionate about our objectives and committed to fundraising for our charity. Ideally, we would like someone with some background in fundraising and grant applications. However, they will consider a background in any of the following: Marketing, Finance, Public Relations, or business/charity development. Apply here

Trustee role at Memory Gardens. A small pioneering Early Intervention Special Needs Children’s project, is looking for a new Trustee. They are looking for someone who has an affinity for this kind of work and for the children and carers they are working with. This may be through your personal experience or through your professional background. If you have an ability to structure and plan with rigour and a creative vision and enthusiasm, this would help enormously. Apply here

Trustee role at The Kids Network. They are looking for up to five new trustees with skills and backgrounds: • Legal / HR • Safeguarding in the not for profit space • Fundraising with strong networks • PR and communications • Governance and Administration. Apply here

Trustee/Board member role at Islington People’s Theatre. They are looking for two new Trustees; a new member to act as the Secretary for the Board, and take on those responsibilities, and an additional Trustee who will act as the Treasurer – someone with basic accounting skills. Previous experience of being a Board member/Trustee in this capacity would be ideal but is not essential. Apply here
