Forthcoming One-Day Volunteering Events. Volunteering for Stronger Communities
We have a number of one-off volunteering events coming up over the next few months and you would be welcome to get involved with one (or more) of them.
1. Great Ormond Street Hospital: Schools Marketing Promotion
15th, 16th or 19th November
10am – 4pm (Russell Square WC1)
Contacting schools to get their help with fundraising projects. Office based.
2. Caspari:Fundraising Appeal Preparation Day
27th or 28th November
A few hours in the afternoon (Islington N1)
Helping prepare fundraising packs for delivery to the public. Office based.
3. Islington Council Parks Trust: Conservation and Hedge Laying Day
Thursday 29th November
10am – 3pm (Archway Park)
Working outdoors in a local park on conservation projects. Training provided.
4. London’s Air Ambulance: Donation Collecting Day
Thursday 29th November
Flexible hours (London Bridge and Waterloo)
Collecting donations from the general public at London train stations.
5. Monsoon: Charity Fashion Show
4th, 5th and 6th December
A standard day shift (Tottenham Court Road)
Helping to prepare, set up and run a charity fashion show event and auction.
6. Sue Ryder Care: Christmas Carol Singing Day
7th or 14th or 21st December
Flexible hours (Central London train stations)
Carol singing with groups in train stations to raise money from the public.
7. British Heart Foundation: Donation Collecting Day
Tuesday 14th February 2013
Flexible hours (Various London locations)
Collecting donations from the general public at London tube stations.
One-day volunteering means: a fun day out, a good social activity, something on your CV and a certificate to show you have assisted a charitable organisation. To book a place for yourself (or for any of your friends too) at any of the events, email Paul Stephenson.
