Volunteers’ Week 2023

Volunteers’ Week is the annual celebration of the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering in their communities and is taking place this week: 1-7th June 2023.

Volunteers’ Week 2023 is a time to celebrate and inspire. We would like to thank and highlight the great work volunteers have been doing in Islington. We aim to highlight that our diversity is our strength, show that there’s more than one way to volunteer and encourage people to be the change that we want to see. Please see here some of the amazing stories from volunteers making a difference in Islington.

Volunteers are always active at the heart of every local community. So taking the time during Volunteers’ Week to celebrate and recognise their efforts and all they contribute to our communities, the voluntary sector and society as a whole have never been more important. The Volunteers’ Week website has lots of information for organisations to consider how best to mark this week as well as resources should you chose to celebrate. For formal recognition of your volunteers’ contribution, download, customise and print a certificate to give them.

Every year a lot of events, both online and in–person, take place to celebrate Volunteers’ Week and the huge range of ways in which volunteers give their time. This year will be no different.
Volunteer Centre Islington will be at:
