Support for Afghan families in Islington – VCS Survey

Islington council is committed to ensuring that refugees and asylum seekers are given a warm welcome into our community whilst protecting the needs and rights of all and promoting community cohesion. We believe that refugees and asylum seekers are assets to the borough and catalysts of our future growth and success.

They are contacting you as key VCS organisations to understand what your support offer may be to help form an overall support package that can be put in place for our new families after assessments have taken place to understand needs and requirements.

The aim is to create a menu of support in the form of a handbook from the voluntary sector. If you think your organisation can give support,  please do take 5 minutes to complete the survey.

There are other ways for Islington residents to help, from making donations to volunteering or taking part in the housing response please click here for further information.
