As an accredited Living Wage employer Voluntary Action Islington encourages other voluntary organisations to seek accreditation too.
Many voluntary organisations exist to relieve poverty and paying our own staff a living wage helps to achieve this. A Living Wage also enables people to have time for their families and community.
Since its launch in 2001 by CitizensUK many London families have been lifted out of working poverty as a direct result of the Living Wage.
Voluntary Action Islington encourages all Islington employers to support and implement the Living Wage
