1. Islington Faith Forum: Admin and Mailing Assistants
17th July 2013
Flexible hours (Upper Street N1)
To help promote their work by assisting with mail-outs and envelope stuffing etc.
2. The Conservation Volunteers: Conservation Assistants
23rd and 25th July 2013
10am – 2pm (N4)
Helping to clear grassland and preserve and refurbish public benches & picnic tables.
3. Manor Gardens Centre: Festival Assistants
Sat 27th July
Half a day or all day (N7)
Helping to set up and run a street festival celebrating 100 years of their Centre.
4. The Food Chain: Bucket Shakers
Sat 27th July
Four hour shift (Ealing or Spitalfields)
Helping to collect donations from the general public at busy markets and shopping centres.
5. Anna Fiorentini Film School: Film School Volunteers
29thJuly – 3rdAug or 19thAug – 23rdAug
For five days 9.30am – 4pm (Upper Street N1)
To help mentor and supervise film students (aged 7 – 19) in week long summer schools.
6. University College Hospital: Social Activity Volunteers
July and August 2013
Flexible hours and days (Mornington Crescent)
To come in and take part in games and activities with elderly residents.
7. Vision Housing: Street Collection Volunteers
July and August 2013
Flexible hours and days (Westminster)
Helping to collect donations from the public using collection tins & buckets etc.
8. Action on Hearing Loss: Garden Clean-up Volunteers
July 2013
One day’s volunteering, day tbc (Kilburn)
To help clean up an overgrown garden for a care centre for this charity.
9. Uganda Community Relief: Office Painting Volunteers
July or August 2013
Several hours, flexible as to what day (N17)
Helping to paint and refurbish their offices in Tottenham.
10. The Stress Project: Leafleting Volunteers
July or August 2013
Several hours, flexible as to what day (N7)
Helping to deliver promotional leaflets for them around the Highbury area.
11. Angel Canal Festival: Festival Volunteers
Sun 1st September 2013
Half a day or a day (Angel on the canal)
Assisting them as stewards at the festival helping to make things run smoothly etc.
12. Angel Shed Theatre: Street Marketing Assistants
June 2013
Flexible hours and days (Canonbury N1)
To help promote their youth theatre by handing out info leaflets to the public.
