Talk for Health January 2021 Special: Dreams – the Royal Road to YOU

January 20 @ 18:00 - 20:00

Talk for Health January 2021 Special: Dreams – the Royal Road to YOU

Dreams – the royal road to YOU.

If you want to understand yourself better, then exploring your dreams is a good place to start. Dreams often symbolise feelings, wishes, conflicts and even spiritual connections, of which we’re not fully aware.

Only the dreamer knows the meaning of their dream, and through a process of exploration can unlock it.

This Special will help you understand your own dreams and have the opportunity to explore a dream. We do this by telling and re-telling the dream from the point of view of the different characters and elements in it. This helps you unravel its significance .

Exploring dreams can evoke strong feelings – so only sign up to this special if you’re willing to experience that and work in small breakout groups.

Talk for Health’s monthly Special events are an opportunity for anyone in the community to come along, learn something new, and experience talking for health.

The January special will be led by our founder, Psychotherapist Nicky Forsythe.

Nicky is founder of the Talk for Health Social Enterprise and developed the Talk for Health Programme. She is a Psychotherapist, researcher and innovator in the area of emotional health, and believes that techniques from Psychotherapy can be used by anybody to lead a satisfying and beneficial life.

Nicky is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy MBACP (Accred.), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs.

The second half of the Special will introduce you to, and give you a chance to experience, some of the four key learning areas of Talk for Health:

• Open and truthful talking

• Empathic listening

• Basic counselling skills

• How to set up an ongoing group

After this event, you can go straight into a Talk for Health Café, where you will learn peer counselling skills and get plenty of space to talk and get/give support. You can also sign up to the Full 4-day Talk for Health Peer Counselling Programme for a deeper therapeutic and skills-building experience.

As always the event is free, but please make aa donation if you can. This has been a challenging year for us and we intend to keep running these workshops free. If you can help us do that we would be very grateful.
