Right First Time: Developing a Quality Standards framework

16/05/2014 @ 10:00 - 13:00

In an increasingly competitive environment, community based organisations must be able to demonstrate to funders and commissioners that they are competent, credible and committed to learning and improvement. In addition many organisations who run buildings rely on their users to promote their services and enable them to compete with other private sector providers of space for activities and offices. Developing a quality assurance policy and systems so that they can be counted in working towards a Quality Standard can help to address both of these issues. This course will help you to review your approach to managing your building from a quality point of view – management, health and safety, equality, transparency and “customer service” and show you how to create a Quality Assurance Statement for your building that you can implement.

Who should attend: This is an introductory course aimed at staff and trustees who are responsible for managing a community building and continuously improving its performance for the benefit of its users.

This masterclass will be delivered by Lorraine Hart.

To secure your place on this course, please complete the application form and send it to Maria Gonzalez at by Friday 2nd May.

This course is free to Islington organisations, but we are afraid that we have to make a charge of £20 for organisations based outside Islington.

If meeting the fee for a course is a problem for your organisation, please contact Janet Keighley by email at VAI to discuss this, and she will try to help
