Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS)


Take this unique opportunity to get an Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) at an amazing price. PTLLS covers the basics of teaching and training in post-16 education – including how to plan sessions, motivate learners and use a variety of assessment methods.

Delivered by Voluntary Action Islington, this course covers the requirements for a Level 3 Award in Preparing to teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS).


The course will take place over 10 sessions, on Monday and Thursday evenings starting 21 March 2011.


Small Voluntary and Community Organisations £330 per person/£230 with PROGRESS subsidy*
(Up to 3 full time members of staff):

Large Voluntary and Community Organisations: £370 per person/£270 with PROGRESS subsidy*
(More than 3 full-time members of staff)

Statutory and Private Sector: £425 per person

* PROGRESS Subsidy:

If you are a voluntary and community organisation working with young people aged 13-19 (or up to 25 with a disability) you can access a £100 subsidy for this training course. Ie pay only £230 for a small organisation, or £270 for a large organisation.
