Mental Health Awareness Training

Would you like to increase your understanding of mental health and mental illness while ensuring you are offering effective service to the community you support?
Voluntary Action Islington will be hosting Mental Health Awareness Training. The training will be delivered by ReThink Mental Illness.
Mental Health Awareness training will give you the knowledge, skills and tools to increase your confidence in effectively responding to and supporting others experiencing mental ill health, as well as in looking after your own mental health and wellbeing.
Content:
•  Increase your knowledge and understanding of mental health and mental illness
•  Increase your awareness of the impact of stigma and discrimination
•  Understand more about common mental illnesses
•  Increase your ability to identify possible signs and symptoms of mental ill health
•  Learn simple, effective communication skills for talking about mental health and supporting others, and increase your confidence in having these conversations
•  Learn where to find reliable and useful sources of support and information for yourself and others about mental health and wellbeing
•  Reflect on your own mental and emotional health and how you look after your own wellbeing
