Knife Crime and Grooming

05/12/2018 @ 09:30 - 12:00

Signs and Symptoms of Grooming and Child Criminal Exploitation
PLUS launch of ICN Community Safety Group

Anti-Tribalism Movement (ATM) in collaboration with Voluntary Action Islington and Council of Somali Organisations are hosting a workshop on Knife Crime and Grooming, delivered by Trident Partnership Team . The workshop aims to cover the ‘Signs and Symptoms of Grooming and Child Criminal Exploitation’.

This workshop is aimed at:
• Organisations and individuals who work with young people
• Professionals who have an interest in Knife Crime Awareness

ATM run a knife crime awareness programme entitled ‘Quit Knives Save Lives Desistance’ funded by London Community Foundation (MOPAC). Too many young lives have been lost due to knife crime: our ‘Quit Knives Save Lives Desistance programme’ is an innovative programme that has several components ranging from Knife Crime Workshops, Parental Advisory Support through to mentoring – all of which aims to reduce the prevalence of knife carrying and use by young people.
The workshop will take place on Wednesday 5th December 2018 at Voluntary Action Islington office from 09:30am to 12pm.

In addition:
•      Do you address Community Safety issues in Islington?
•      Do you want to meet to agree collective ways of addressing issues?
•      Do you want to work in partnership to bring in more funding?

Then the ICN COMMUNITY SAFETY GROUP is for you! We’ll meet briefly after the workshop.
This new group builds on community concerns raised at our Summer VCS Conference. For more details contact
