To celebrate the new year, The Mayor of Islington is hosting a special online quiz to raise funds for her charity of 2020/21, Age UK Islington. Get yourself a drink, some snacks and test your general knowledge!

Actor, Hugh Fraser, best known for his role as Captain Hastings in the TV series Poirot, will be our Question Master and there will be six rounds of questions. It promises to be a fun, social evening with a prize for the winning person or team! Tickets cost £20, book on this webpage.

The Fundraising Auction

There will be a pause in the quiz for a Fundraising auction when you’ll have the opportunity to bid via Zoom for some fantastic prizes generously donated by businesses in the community.

How to Join

  • Find your quiz heroes and get ready to arise as a team. Maybe they’re work colleagues, part of a local community group or your family.
  • Get a ticket for each team member.
  • Arrange a WhatsApp group between you all to discuss questions and answers during the quiz.
  • Write your answers on an answer sheet, which we’ll share with you. For those competing as a team, nominate one person to write down the answers.

Many people in the London Borough of Islington rely on the services and support provided by Age UK Islington. The charity is looking to raise funds to help continue its much-needed work with local adults of all ages (16 yrs+), in particular at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it is having on people in our community.

Age UK Islington provides support to people who are lonely or who are in need of support with things like debt, housing issues or bereavement, working closely with health and social care professionals and other community partners in the borough.
