How to write effective bid applications

Grant opportunities in the Covid19 era are integral to charity survival. Now is the time to learn how to apply for grant funding and what you can do to improve your chances of securing funds.

This is a great opportunity for small and new charities who want to get to grips with understanding the funding application process and improve their writing skills.

The session will cover:

  • How to identify the right funding opportunity for your charity
  • Why your charity branding matters
  • The items you will need to prepare to be grant-ready
  • How to write your grant application effectively
  • How to answer those tough questions and what funders are really looking for
  • The common reasons why grant applications fail

About the Presenter – Louise Butt

Louise is a creative copywriter and bid writer specialising in the Charity sector, Education and Muslim lifestyle brands. She has worked with a range of clients including Muslim Aid, Children of Jannah, Barnardo’s, Islamic Aid, PACT and a range of schools.

Louise has also worked with a number of UK NGO and Third Sector organisations, delivering large campaigns to draw in donations and funding. She has many years of experience working with schools and within the education sector, creating content from fundraising campaigns, school brochures, online content and recruitment marketing.
