Fundraising: hands-on help
19/01/2011 @ 09:45 - 13:00
Who is it for?
This is a basic, practical learning session for management committee members, staff and volunteers who have already written a draft fundraising application for a small or medium sized grant and want some extra help on improving it before it is submitted. This training is prioritised for BME organisations, but there are some places allocated for other Islington organisations hurry book now!
What is it about?
Are you lacking confidence about some of the sections in your fundraising application? Do you struggle when writing about evidence of need for your projects? Are you less confident about describing and selling your project as well as you might to funders? Do you stumble when it comes to writing about the difference your project makes, i.e. your ‘project’ outcomes? If the answer is yes, then come to one of our handson workshops and book in for a follow up one to one surgery on the same day.
What will I get out of it?
- The ability to improve your draft fundraising application yourself with expert support
- Practical tips on how to improve the more challenging sections of fundraising forms
- The opportunity to book in for an additional surgery to get one to one advice on all aspects of your draft application
Cost
Free for all small voluntary and community organisations in Islington.
For other organisations please see our pricing structure.
These sessions will be delivered in partnership with Islington BME Forum, funded by Voluntary Action Islington and Improving Reach.
