Financial reports for management committee members

Who is it for?
This is a course for all those who are involved in creating and overseeing financial reports, whilst aimed at treasurers, it is useful for all management committe members and managers so that they can better understand how to ‘read’ financial reports. Volunteers wishing to learn more about financial reporting are welcome to attend.

What is it about?
This session aims to ensure that everyone involved with financial reports in your organisation has a better understanding of how to construct a financial report and when. It will cover key reporting requirements for smaller charities, and key regulators, as well as looking at recent reporting changes and whether or not an independent examination or audit is required. The session will also look at common mistakes made in financial reporting and how to avoid them.

What will I get out of it?

  • A better understanding of financial reporting and the ability to improve your organisations financial reporting
  • The ability to critically examine your organisation’s financial reports
  • Updated knowledge around the key reporting requirements for smaller charities and their regulators
  • Information on what must be included in accounts of smaller charities

Cost
Free for all small voluntary and community organisations in Islington.
