Emergency First Aid at Work: Level 2 Award

12/05/2014 @ 10:00 - 16:00

This course will enable learners to give emergency first aid to someone who becomes unwell in a community building. All community buildings and multi-purpose organisations have to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act of 1974, which is also included in the First Aid Regulations of 1981. This legislation states that employers must ensure their employees, visitors and members of the public have access to first aid.

Who should attend: This course is suitable for somebody new to first aid, but it is also suitable as a refresher. Preference will be given to those who wish to become accredited.
A course at this level is designed for those working in organisations with minimum hazards and a low number of employees. It is an excellent general qualification for those working in community buildings, including multi-activity community centres, but please note that where physical activities are provided or activities involve children, those providing the activities require specific, higher level qualification.

What you will achieve: You will be able to give emergency first aid to someone who becomes ill at work.

You can achieve level 2 accreditation. For those who wish to become accredited: This first aid qualification is assessed via practical demonstration and oral questioning. Successful candidates will obtain a certificate and a detailed card that states the newly achieved qualification Emergency First Aid at Work (approx. 2 weeks).

To secure your place, please complete the application form and send it to Maria Gonzalez at by 28nd April. We expect these courses to be popular, so earlier application is advised!  FULLY BOOKED
