EC1: Influencing skills

Who is it for?
This course is for management committee members, staff, volunteers and residents who would like to be more influential – at home, at work and in the community. It will help you to sharpen your communication skills so that you are better able to engage the interest and cooperation of others.

What is it about?
The course covers listening and speaking skills; open, positive body language; giving and gaining attention and empathy, sincerity and trust. The session will also analyse how to project self­assurance and how to become more influential.

What will I get out of it?

  • Useful skills and techniques that you can use in a variety of situations
  • The ability to initiate, build and manage relationships
  • The ability to overcome obstacles to getting this done

Free for all voluntary and community organisations in EC1.
For other organisations please see our pricing structure.

EC1 training is prioritised for EC1 organisations, but there are some places allocated for Islington organisations outside of EC1.
