DWP Universal Credit briefing

The Universal Credit full service is being rolled out in the Barnsbury and Finsbury Park jobcentres on 20th June 2018.
This course will provide you and your organisation with an opportunity to learn about the Universal Credit full service, as well as offering you the chance to raise any questions.
The Universal Credit full service will be available to all claimant types that are in and out of work such as, families, single parents, carers and those with certain health conditions.
Key to delivering Universal Credit successfully is building strong relationships locally. We will be working closely with all our stakeholders and partners including (social landlords, private landlords and voluntary sector organisations).
This workshop is part of the advice training programme organised by VAI and Islington Council, in partnership with the Islington Strategic Advice Partnership for front line workers who are not advice specialists but would like to increase their knowledge of key areas of advice. This programme is offering a range of advice training sessions. Details of each training session can be found here.
Who should attend
This course is aimed at VCS organisations who are working with residents likely to be receiving Universal Credit.
Learning Outcomes
The aim of the course is to have an overview of the Universal Credit process and roll out.
Tutor
This course will be delivered by Ian Smith, Borough Relationship Manager from DWP and CAI will also be in attendance to take questions.
