Disability Action Theatre and the Economy

26/10/2016 @ 12:30 - 16:30

Would you like to:

• Have your say about the economy and how it impacts on the lives of people with disabilities?
• Participate in a creative workshop to generate ideas and strategies for what the future should look like?
• Watch a participatory theatre performance created by disabled people to provoke discussion and action towards economic justice?

We believe that everyone should be able to have their say about the UK’s economy.
If you have a disability and are interested in contributing to this conversation, please register here for free. We would love you to join us.
This half-day participatory workshop will move from personal experience to the political and economic policies that impact on us and our communities. We will consider the kind of changes we would like to see and ways we might be able to bring these about.

We are delighted to be hosting this creative workshop which is a collaboration between Disability Action in Islington and the RSA’s Citizens’ Economic Council. This workshop is part of the Citizens’ Economic Council’s Economic Inclusion Roadshow – a series of events the RSA is running up and down the country to ensure that the voices of groups who are often excluded from conversations about policy are heard.
We’re keen that everyone is able to participate and we can also cover travel expenses if required.  Please also let us know about your access needs to enable you to participate fully.
Refreshments will be provided.
