Data Talks: Demystifying unemployment data

January 25 @ 10:00 - 11:00

During 2020 we saw shocking unemployment statistics hit the headlines – including the largest single monthly increase in recorded unemployment – 850,000 new claimants across the UK (an increase of 66%) between March and April.

But what do these figures actually mean? Join us for an insightful introduction to:

• Different measures of unemployment (and what they can and can’t tell you)

• Data that estimates at-risk jobs and at-risk employees based on furloughing data

• Headline analysis for London

• Exploring data for yourself in Local Insight.

Format: Large event webinar

This session is an online live-format webinar. You will hear from speakers relevant to the topic and may see demos of tools or techniques to help you in your work.

There will be limited interactivity although we may send you into smaller groups for networking. It’s great if you can join us with video but not essential throughout. These sessions may be recorded to share with a wider audience.
