Could being a Social Prescriber be the right job for you?

May 17 @ 10:00 - 10:45

Social Prescribers work alongside GPs and other health professionals, to support individuals to take greater control of their own health. Social prescribers support people to identify local activities that may improve their health and physical wellbeings – such as volunteering, art activities, group learning, gardening, befriending, cookery, healthy eating advice and a range of sports.  Age UK Islington are currently advertising two new Social Prescriber vacancies

iWork Health and Social Care Resource Hub and Age UK Islington are hosting an information session on the 17th May at 10 am to give an overview of these roles.

Are you, or Islington candidates you work with, interested in finding out more about what a Social Prescriber link worker actually does and gain a better understanding of the type of candidates they are looking to recruit?  Please join us on Monday to find out more about the roles from the hiring manager

Session Outline:

  • Find out what a Social Prescribing Link Worker does and how the work they do impacts on the community that you live in
  • Hear from the recruiting manager about what they are looking for in potential candidates
  • Age UK is a great employer and the salary for the role is £28,000 per annum
  • The session will run on 17th May from 10 am and will take around 45 minutes.

Book your place on the information session here
