Volunteering in health is often seen as a way to support the delivery of services. Volunteering Together 4 Health (VT4H) is making the case for it to be recognised and invested in as a strategic asset in its own right.
Volunteering can help people build connections, feel less isolated and support their wellbeing. It can also strengthen communities, making it valuable for prevention as well as service delivery.
VAI’s role in the partnership
VAI is proud to be a partner in VT4H. Over the past two years, we have worked alongside Volunteer Centres and volunteering organisations across North Central London to strengthen health volunteering and share good practice.
Free resources for health volunteering
The VT4H website offers practical support for organisations involving volunteers in health. Its free resources include volunteer recruitment and management tools, volunteering into employment guidance and recommendations for involving volunteers in NHS Neighbourhoods.
Whether you are starting a volunteering programme or improving an existing one, explore the VT4H resources and support.
